Gorehound’s Live Gear
I’m currently using a pair of Sparrow Twangmaster’s. They’re a tele style solidbody. One’s white w/ an f-hole, the other is light brown woodgrain w/ a Bigsby licensed vibrato and a TV Jones Classic pickup in the neck position, both have maple fingerboards, ash bodies(made in Canada). The white one is tuned to Dropped D&G (D,G,D,G,B,E) and the other is tuned standard or Dropped-D. Sometimes I’ll bring my Robin Ranger which has a red stained strat-shaped body, 3 pick-ups, the front is flat and has binding (strings thru body). The neck’s maple, and the 6-1 headstock’ is backwards. Occasionally I’ll use my Jay Turser electric Dobro live.
My amp is an 08 Tweed Fender Blues Deluxe. 40watts, 1×12, w/ reverb, channel switching.
For pedals I keep thing really simple, Boss TU-2 tuner and a Boss/Roland RE-20 Space Echo.I use a Godlyke adapter. I’ll probably add a Tremolo, Volume pedal, and a boost.
I always bring a spare tuner, batteries, tool-kit, duct tape, strings, slides, capo, picks, patch cords. Anything that you can misplace, or break you need a duplicate. I use 2 guitars (in case I break a string), have batteries in case my power supply dies or dissappears, extra tuner, extra patch cords(they break, and people like to borrow them), slides have a way of rolling off on you.
For recording I also use a blond Gibson L6-S w/ a Khaller whammy-bar, a red Mexican Fender Tele with a banjo tuner on the low E. A Yamaha analog delay E1005.
For acoustics, I have a Johnson metal-body Dobro, a Beaver Creek Banjo, Johnson Mandolin and a Yamaha FS-355SB
